National Bureau of Statistics communicates data on the activity of public water supply and sewerage systems in 2025.

Public water supply systems

In 2025, the total length of water supply pipelines and public water distribution networks amounted to 22.4 thousand km, increasing by 715.1 km or 3.3% compared to the previous year (including 116.6 km in urban areas and 598.5 km in rural areas). The length of newly constructed public water distribution networks amounted to 511.1 km.

The largest share of the length of newly constructed water pipelines and public water supply networks (511.1 km) was recorded in localities of the Northern region — 40.0% and the Central region — 36.7%.

The total length of public sewerage networks amounted to 5.9 thousand km, which is 2.2% more compared to 2024.

In 2025, 69.1% of the country’s localities had access to public water supply systems (66.8% in 2024), while 10.7% had access to public sewerage systems (10.2% in 2024).
